Unsquared Design (Web Design)

We at Unsquared Design realize that the web design industry is already saturated with big-name companies and highly-qualified designers who can get the job done. Why then, would we decide to add yet another design company into the competitive fray this industry has evolved into? More importantly, why would you (as clients looking for a suitable company) choose us over the many other veteran companies with fancier web sites and a huge resource team of web designers ready to get the job done? Well, to be fair, Unsquared Design does offers clients the typical web site design and content development that can be found at nearly any other design studio. However, as our name implies, Unsquared Design breaks the mold in three important ways that can be summarized into these terms:

The first point is Price. When scouting around the internet, we realized that our expectations for the norm in fees for web design were way off. The prices quoted ranged anywhere from $300-6000, of course depending on the job and the innate complications it implied. We had imagined something along the lines of $50-100, probably because we did not grasp the rigor and difficulty that came in the time-consuming task of hand-coding sites. Amazingly, even the lowest end of the job estimates (~$300) usually were simply a pre-made template that the designer would throw together in less than an hour! Thus, the first point that must be made is that Unsquared Design will not overcharge any client beyond a reasonable rate that can be reached by a mutual agreement. What this means is that our design team will chat with you even before a single cent has been exchanged to ensure that you understand what your job entails, and the amount of work that we will have to put in (which will be directly reflected in the fees we will charge).

For the second point, we have coined the term Time/Talent Investment. As many of you can agree personally, popularity comes at a price. The same goes in the web design industry. Many of these expansive web studios have quite a hefty job queue at all times. What this means is that they most likely will not be able to fully devote their time and talents to your site. However, our perceived weakness can actually be reversed in this case. Because we are not currently swamped with job requests (and will not allow such a situation to build up), you can be assured that your project will be given the full attention of our designers. After all, this is what you are paying us for.

The last point that much be mentioned is Uniqueness. As mentioned earlier, many other companies actually will dig around for an appropriate template when beginning your project. Whether they inform you of this method is a different story, but the point is that you will no be getting an entirely original work. Thus, your site will not be given the unique brand identity it deserves, and runs the risk of becoming a cheap copy of an existing site. By applying our creativity and using key aesthetic elements throughout your site, our design team promises to create an original and one-of-a-kind site that will start your first (or renewed) online identity on the right foot.
